“First of all, why "odysseys"? This word, that took origin from the famous greek epic poem by Homer, generally means "A long and eventful or adventurous journey or experience".
For the majority of people "odyssey" can have a negative meaning, like going tηrough long and unnecessary obstacles. For me it's the opposite: hardships, if you are motivated, are just there to make reaching the goal more satisfying. Who wants to undertake a journey that's dull and predictable? Art is not an easy journey, nor a boring one. All the different artists on this exhibition can find a common ground on this: we all started from nothing, from the very first tessera on our personal creative journey, our personal "odyssey". And we all managed to overcome every difficulty, going through trials and errors, using failure as an opportunity of personal growth and looking forward for every new challenge. Exhibiting together the fruit of this hardship, sharing our "mosaic odysseys" with everyone, getting feedback, is what makes this journey worth going through!
